We're Wired

We are all but a few light fixtures away from completing the rewiring of the house. All the new lines have been run and fished through the walls and the old wiring ripped out. We have most of the outlets in and finished, we just have a few light switches and light fixtures to go. Hopefully we'll be able to check something off the list soon. We have also made a dent in the plumbing. Most all the new lines have been run and we only have the upstairs bathroom and downstairs utility sink/washer to hook up. Not only do we have the plumbing going in the bathroom we have also started to put the walls back up! We got a new tub and it didn't fit exactly the same as the old one so we had to get creative with our framing. The tub is in (and level which was a huge feat in itself!) and we have begun to hang the new sheetrock. Once all the plumbing is hooked up we'll do the official test to make sure there are no leaks - crossing our fingers. We also have new insulation in the basement ceiling where we had to take it down to rewire some lights and outlets, so we're close to getting all the walls back up and hopefully we'll be able to turn our attention back to the original task of updating the kitchen. We're both getting a little tired of the project though we have no choice but to keep on truckin'.

The last two pictures are of the old wiring and pipes and the new electical box and some new plumbing.
