Holy H2O

Two days ago we (I should say Blane) completed the last piece of re plumbing the house which included rerouting the bathroom drains so they are now tucked up into the rafters vs. hanging down below the ceiling. We took the plunge and turned on the main water line to test our handy work and unfortunately the first try wasn't so successful. Good news though we made a few adjustments and the second time around was MUCH better. There is only one small spot that has a little drip, drip, drip but Blane is on it and it should be fixed by this weekend. SO...that means we get to put all the walls back up! Pretty soon we won't be able to see between rooms and walls - fancy that. My dad thinks we'll be back living at our house within 2 weeks though it's all contingent on getting the bathroom finished. I just hope after all of this plumbing work our hot water pressure in the shower will be like a rocket. If it rinsed and exfoliated I would be greatly impressed.

This second picture is of Blane working on the bathtub drain and getting a little help for our kitty Bart (sitting on Blane's bum). Our poor cats have been holding down the fort while we have been living at my folks, though we do get to give them some love in the evenings and on the weekends. However, I think as you can see in the photo they are feeling a little deprived and will do anything to get a little love.
