Poor Davey, I'm already 5.5months behind on his baby book. As in, haven't even started writing in it! I'm trying to cement all the milestones and cool things he's done to memory, but the memory I do have these days is reserved for basic life sustaining essentials - eating, breathing, picking up the kids after work, you know the basics. So, in an effort to capture some things, I'm dumping it here in hopes that it will eventually make it to the baby book. 

After 11 long weeks D finally seemed to be over his tummy troubles. Made evenings and general sentiment much happier. He was a boy on the move with me as we got the new house prepared to move in to. He was a good smiler at this point! No big laughs. He also hated his car seat. Not a great napper unless he was being held. Loves being held at all times. My snuggler. 

4months - back to work! 

Was so sad to go back to work but survived. D has slowly been transitioning. Took a good 2weeks before he took to the bottle, but how nice it is to finally have that as an option for home too. He isn't the best sleeper. Still waking up 2-3x a night. More consistently 3x. I've turned into a morning and afternoon coffee drinker. Car rides are improving at this point - thank god! Oh, started rolling at this point, 4.5months. Back to tummy was the preferred method. Loves his brother, always keeping an eye on him. 

5months

Still waking up 2-3x a night. I'm still drinking two cups of coffee a day. Wonder if these things are connected?!?

He's working on his napping skills at daycare, he's been responsible for waking up all the other babies on occasion with his loud cry. Whoopsie. But sounds like we might be on the verge of sound naps. 

He's so eager to be part of the action vs just laying around. Can be fussy because he just wants to be held. 

At 5.5 months he's starting to get the hang of sitting! He and daycare will be so much happier. 

We started solids! So far he hates peas, luke warm on sweet potatoes and squash and LOVES applesauce. 

He's really ticklish, pretty much everywhere. Still hard to get laughs from him, but big brother has the most luck. 

He's becoming more and more facinstead with big brother. Will be so fun when they can play together vs B just smothering D. 

What else...he's 20lbs and off the charts for all measures 98%+. He has blond hair coming in and it has a little strawberry color to it. He's so happy! Feeling like we're finally getting into a rythym, kinda.
