Farewell summer

We had a great weekend. It was the perfect farewell to summer. Hoping for more sunny days ahead, but realistic its time for more layers and umbrellas. I don't know what it was about this weekend that was so great, it just was.
We worked in the yard while B played around us. We went to the beach for one last dip. Stopped by our local brewhouse for dinner. They were celebrating Octoberfest so there was music, cookie decorating and lots and lots of kids.  We stayed longer at the restaurant than we've stayed at a restaurant in 18.5months. We ate, played, I danced with a random 90+ yr old and we got home around 8pm - whoa. Maybe that's why it was such a good weekend. We got a glimps of what it used to be like, minus the 90yr old.

Yesterday, we cheered on the M's in their final game of the year and then on to my cousins soccer game - go zags! Got to see my uncle who isn't feeling the best right now, so, was thankful for the mini family reunion. Then the B was happy and Blane made dinner so it was a good night.
