Diamond Jubilee

My mom took a cue from the Queen and we kicked off her Diamond Jubilee year this past weekend. She didn't want one party to mark this monumental birthday of 60, but rather many different big and small celebrations all year long. I don't blame her!

To kick off the year the whole family went to the cabin for skiing and snow. We planned a fun family celebration on Saturday night complete with a full Italian dinner, orange cake (what we call in our family a hurricane cake = falling apart), signature drink, etc.
