Mazama

A couple weekends ago we took a couple extra days off and headed northeast. We we're going over to celebrate a wedding and the return of some our best friends to the states. We 'glamped' (we camped but got to use the beautiful Hazen cabin for meals, movies and showers - thus glamping). It was beautiful over there, alpine-dessert type situation. We walked, threw rocks in the river, ate yummy food, napped, biked and hung out with great company. The Mazama store has amazing pastries BTW, one of my top highlights (of course). Not so much of a highlight, while hiking one afternoon we stepped on a hornets nest and were attacked. We had 12 stings across the group - mine still itch.

The Gritzmachers have been on the move for about 8yrs. I remember when they were leaving Seattle for Cleveland so Chels could go to dental school. We couldn't believe we would be 30 when they were done. Then they made a pit stop in Colorado Springs for a year and then off to Germany. We've been lucky enough to visit in each place they've lived and now look forward to a visit in Sacramento. Only a couple of hours by plane - amazing. We now have kids and are mid-30's it's wild to think back and realize how time has flown. All the adventures and weeknight TV marathons. So glad to have them close.
