Aloha

This year we opted for relaxing and tropical vs. adventure and new for our long vacation. After debating a few locations we decided we wanted to go back to Hawaii. We've been lucky enough to go every couple of years so to mix things up we visited Kauai and the Big Island. We saw new places, enjoyed our favorites and rolled in some adventure for good measure.

After visiting the Big Island I think my favorite is still Kauai. Each island offers something different and I would definitely go back to each, but I love Kauai.

While on Kauai we started the trip with a 3 day hike on the Napali coast out to a secluded beach. The hike took us 8hrs and it was so picturesque and beautiful, but at the same time very intimidating. There were some intense drop offs, eroded trails and whipping winds. The rewards were great, but it was stressful getting there and out - for me at least.
